Java x86 on a x64 Machine
It came to my realization, that a lot of people are running the 32(x86) bit version on java, on their 64(x64) bit operating systems/machines.

I learned this the other day, when a friend of mine was trying to increase his accessible ram, and had a problem.

The 32 bit version of Java will work fine on a 64 bit machine, there is only one downside.

It will only be able to access 1 to 2 Gigabytes of RAM for the .minecraft(or any) process.

If framerates are something you struggle with, and you wish to allocate more RAM. Please make sure you are running the proper version of java for your machine.

For more info on checking your version check out, https://java.com/en/download/help/version_manual.xml.
Check if your OS and or machine is x86 or x64 compatible here, http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001121.htm
